Broken Dreams - Vanity, Greed and the Souring of British Footballby Tom Bower "Acclaimed journalist Tom Bower takes on the football giants, lifting the lid off the corruption and greed thats threatens to destroy the beautiful game"
Finding My Feet - My Autobiographyby Jason Robinson Although a rugby rather than soccer tale, Jason's meteoric rise to prominence is the story of a player's success against phenomenal odds. His new- found fame as a World Cup winner is analysed with great honesty, as is his new life as a Christian.
You'll Win Nothing with Kidsby Jim White "This is the hilarious chronicle of Jim White's time as manager of his son's football team. At this level, winning spirit is not so much about passion, pride and belief as praying that your star centre forward has remembered to bring his boots! Most importantly, it's about the enduring relationship between fathers, sons and football."
Never Walk Aloneby Gavin Peacock and Alan Comfort Gavin Peacock, a Christian since the age of 19 is the BBC pundit and former Chelsea and Newcastle midfield player who wrote this excellent book along with Alan Comfort, a winger-turned-reverend who is club chaplain at Leyton Orient.

NEW PAVILION IS WATERTIGHT!
Saturday 13 February 2010 - 18:30:37 in Website News
Hazlemere’s new sports pavilion at Hazlemere Recreation Ground reached a landmark stage in its construction this week – WATERTIGHT.With the roof on and the windows fixed, work can start in earnest on the internal finishes; electrics, ceilings, doors and plastering.
Holy Trinity Junior’s Secretary, Kevin Bennett, said “ the project seems to be running about 4 weeks late, the snow certainly won’t have helped progress. We are still hoping for completion of the building by the end of May, in time for Hazlemere Sixes on Saturday 29th May.”
Due to the number of postponed matches in recent weeks, the Chiltern Church Junior League Committee has agreed to extend the league season to the end of May, if necessary.
This of course also depends on the availability of pitches. Teams are encouraged to rearrange outstanding matches as soon as possible - weather permitting!
Scoring one hat trick is good enough but getting two of them in the same game, is going it a bit!
Playing for Holy Trinity Angels on Saturday, Megan McClure did exactly that, scoring six of her side's 10 goals in their away win at Taplow United in the Under 14 South Division of the Bucks Girls Football League.
Other goalscorers for Angels in their 10-1 win were Fiona Bennell with 2 and Sianna MacLean and Leanne Hurford with one each. Despite Megan's feat, Gabby Barr was named player of the match.
